The Room Attendant is responsible for the cleanliness in guestrooms in accordance with established quality and performance standards to allow a sufficient quantity of vacant and clean guestrooms.
Must be able to speak and understand the primary languages. (English required)
Require good communication, verbal and written.
Must be able to work weekends (including holidays) and must be able to work one day during the regular work week (Monday to Friday).
Must be able to clean 16 guestrooms per day.
Must be able to lift up to 25lbs on a regular basis.
Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4hrs.
Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
High school or equivalent education preferred.
Prior hospitality experience desired or prior experience in cleaning rooms.
Basic knowledge of use and operation of all necessary cleaning equipment.
Basic knowledge of chemical use.
Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments. Fill cart with supplies and transport cart to assigned area. Enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering. Replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms. Replace dirty linens and terry with clean items. Make beds and fold terry. Clean bathrooms. Remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items.
Check that all appliances are present in the room and in working order. Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances. Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings. Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties (e.g., in guest rooms and hallway).
